International Women’s Day 2022 – #BreakTheBias

Breaking the bias to me is a level playing ground for everyone to thrive, to be valued and respected equally regardless of gender, equal pay for equal work and close the gender pay gap. Everyone needs to take a stand against inequality, and this is achievable by first accepting that this bias exists and knowing that it exists is not enough, but a deliberate action is taken to address it.

In Caracal, with the strong commitment of our top management, we are creating an environment that gives women a place to excel, Caracal women are change-makers we have a voice, it is heard and valued. We review from time to time our recruitment process, evaluate, and standardize our pay structure and educate our staff on gender bias.

Together we can all break the bias and achieve gender parity!

#BreakTheBias is having a world free of bias, stereotypes and discrimination. Women are not judged based on styles but rather on outcomes, so we should all keep breaking the bias by respecting and celebrating women, creating an environment of inclusion and amplifying the voices of women.

I’m happy to be a woman of Caracal because it is a place where differences are valued & celebrated. Our voices are heard, amplified and collectively we #BreakTheBias every single day.

Brave women over the years have stood up to fight for the right to live, thrive and be afforded equal value and respect in society as their male counterparts, because women deserve to be treated with equal respect and afforded equal chances to at least compete and show their mettle in society with their male counterparts.

Caracal Oil and Gas Services, a company I consider myself so honoured to be part of understands this fact, that females if given the chance can match or even surpass men, and has since been a figurehead in the fight against gender inequality.

I, therefore, call on organisations and establishments all over the world, to join this great company Caracal to echo these sentiments and afford the female gender the chance to live, stand and be counted.
