OLU-MAYOWA MAYII OGUNNUSI – MD/Chief Executive Officer

Olu-Mayowa Ogunnusi drives Caracal’s strategic vision. A fellow of the Chartered Management Institute, U.K, he is a resourceful, self-motivated and conscientious individual with a passion for doing things well. He holds a M.A. International Business Management and a B.Sc. (HONS) Computer Science & Information Technology with a proven 11 year cross industry experience track record of efficiently managing projects and taking on new challenges spanning oil and gas, marketing communications, hospitality, engineering and healthcare. He sits on the board of several oil & energy service companies in addition to his role as Caracal’s CEO.

Olu-Mayowa Ogunnusi strives to always be commercially astute and have achieved verifiable year-after-year success reaching and exceeding revenue, profit, and business growth objectives within start-up and turnaround environments. The current highlight of his career is leading a marine vessel supplier startup to becoming single largest indigenous marine vessel provider in a landmark industry project in Nigeria and growing the business by average of 427% over 3 years amid industry downturn while maintaining strong financial results with zero debt with a robust 19% year-on-year growth forecast for the next 4 years.

Olu-Mayowa is an alumnus of Escuela De Alta Dirección Y Administración (E.A.D.A.) in Barcelona, Spain – where he completed the International Business Management program. An elected speaker of the Nation Building Committee (Global Young Leaders Council), he presented at the United Nations General Assembly, the concept of permanent representation for non-veto countries on the Security Council – a motion adopted for further deliberation in 2005 and implemented today.

His passions vary from his love for his horses and spending time discovering the finer notes of life has to offer experiencing the world to the ‘Give a Wheelchair’ project which rehabilitates people with mobility challenges and seeks to ensure that 100 wheelchairs are given to those in great need of them yearly.

CHUCK NWAPA - Executive Director

Chuck Nwapa is a focused, tenacious and self-motivated entrepreneur with a penchant for perfection, he has extensive leadership experience in the energy, power and mining & minerals space in Nigeria, having served in various capacities in each industry for an aggregate of 10 years thus far.

In addition to his position at Caracal, he is the Founder and CEO of Plus Petroleum, Nigeria’s foremost offshore bunkering solutions provider & CEO at NG Electrometer- an indigenous manufacturer of electricity meters. He has extensive leadership experience in the energy, power & mining sectors in Nigeria, having served in various capacities in each industry for over 8 years so far.

Prior to assuming executive office & directorship positions, Chuck worked in several multinational oil & gas service companies including Schlumberger, Aecom industries amongst others. He co-developed the business development strategy for an indigenous upstream oil & gas services contractor with an asset base of over USD600 million.

Always willing to learn, he has completed several leadership courses and he is an active member of the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) and the International Bunker Industry Association (IBIA). He holds a Bsc. In Mechanical Engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT)- New York and has completed several leadership courses over the years.

Chuck Nwapa enjoys playing in intramural football tournaments in his spare time. He is also passionate about giving back to society and regularly support the underprivileged through several charities – notably the Total Care Foundation and Freedom Foundation.

DAVID IBUKUN – Chief Compliance Officer

David Ibukun combines his expertise in legal, compliance, corporate commercial laws, and trade union engagements with his administrative  acumen to function in his role. He has been involved in negotiations with several trade unions both as a team member and lead negotiator – including the Nigeria Union of Petroleum & Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG), Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN) and host communities in the oil rich Niger Delta region of Nigeria.

He has substantial experience advising on corporate operations, real estate, labour law, contract law, arbitration, and commercial transactions, and has been instrumental in concluding several transactions around these practice areas in the private sector.

David Ibukun has vast experience in legal drafting including shareholders agreement, employment contracts, and property/asset acquisition and commercial agreements. He has also advised local and international companies on Nigerian laws and regulations in respect of labour and employment.

He obtained his Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Lagos in Nigeria and is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association. He also holds a certificate in Maritime Disputes and Arbitration from Lloyds Maritime Academy.

JEROME ONYEAMA – Ports and Operations Superintendent

Jerome Onyeama has a higher Diploma in Shipping & Logistics Management bagged from the  Nigerian Institute of shipping. He also holds certificates in compliance and ethics as well as a  certificate in Health, safety, security, and Environment from GAC Academy and IATA  Certification in Dangerous Goods Regulation and a Certificate in Shipping Operations from the  Lloyds Maritime Academy.

He has a well experienced and extensive history in the Marine industry covering Ship and Cargo  documentation, Port Agency operation, Coordination with government agencies. Inward and  outward clearance of vessels in port, Husbandry of crew and vessel, import and export clearing  process of vessels and general cargo (air and sea), temporary import permits for vessels and  cargo, arrangement, and co-ordination of STS operations.

He is extremely passionate, determined and driven. Even in the face of unorthodox situations and is always willing to push through and rise to the occasion.

RACHEAL BAMISAYE – Key Resource Manager

Racheal Bamisaye is a Human Resource professional with over a decade of progressive work experience in Telecommunications, FMCG, Oil & Gas. She has a passion for optimal performance & excellent execution with a focus on continuous improvement across the HR value chain such as Talent Acquisition & Management, Performance Management, Learning and Development & Industrial Relations. She manages the Manpower arm of the Caracal business.

Before joining Caracal, she led the Client Liaison & Recruitment department for an upstream oil and gas services contractor with a clientele base of the major Oil and gas companies in Nigeria, ensuring a 95% Client retention and recognized for consistent success in developing the processes and procedures to streamline business operations and enhance revenue performance.

Racheal Bamisaye is an alumnus of University of Lagos, Lagos, Nigeria – where she completed her Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) program. She is a member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations of Nigeria (NIPR), Nigerian Institute of Management of Nigeria (NIM) Chartered, Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPM) and a Senior Professional in Human Resource-International (SPHRi) by the Human Resource Institute USA.

Racheal is a trainer and a career coach, a creative influencer with strong abilities in goal setting, effective communication, presentation, and negotiation, she has championed, facilitated, and participated in various HR Projects and Trainings. She has managed over 1000 contract employees across different Oil and gas companies in Nigeria.

SAMUEL NNEJI- HSSE Superintendent

Samuel Ifeanyi Nneji is a resourceful QHSE superintendent with over Ten (10) years’ experience in maritime, oil & gas industry. He is a graduate of Marine engineering and a member of institute of safety professionals of Nigeria, (ISPON). He also holds certifications in NEBOSH, ISO 9001:2015 QMS lead auditor, lead auditor International Safety management code (ISM), train the trainer and document controller.

Before joining Caracal, he had a track record of previously achieved results in downstream sector to include: realization of ISO 9001:2015 certification, protecting life and property through proactive safety measures, improving quality standard, setup strategic QHSE plan towards maintaining goal zero incidence.

SYLVANUS CHINWEBUDUME MICHAEL - Senior Crewing Manager

Sylvanus Michael is an experienced seafarer, Marine Engineer and Crewing Manager. He has been involved in vessel operations at sea for years, negotiations with maritime union as a team member on crew salary upward review, docking of vessel at drydock as technical team member and host communities on crewing matter in the oil rich Niger Delta region of Nigeria.

Result-Oriented, Motivated Professional and Senior Crewing Manager in the Maritime Industry with over 8 years as a Crewing Manager, 1 year as Technical Superintendent and over 12 years as Seafarer in various types of sea going vessel.

He obtained his Bachelor of Technology (B-Tech in Marine Engineering) in the then Rivers State University of Science and Technology now Rivers State University.

GIUSEPPE MARC IACONIS - Technical Partner Representative

Giuseppe Iaconis is a Technical Superintendent deployed from Caracal’s technical partner, Hellespont. With over 15 years of experience working offshore, he is very knowledgeable about UT755 vessels, having worked on this vessel type for the last nine years continuously. He is familiar with Rolls Royce built ships, automation, and Dynamic Positioning (DP).

Giuseppe Iaconis holds two DP Maintenance certificates from Rolls Royce & Konsber respectively. He has worked as Chief Engineer for the last 10 years and has excellent knowledge and lots of experience on MAK, Ulstein and Wartsilia engines. In addition to his offshore experience, he has carried out FMEAtrial several times. He has plenty of drydocking experience working in Northern Europe, Italy, MaltaWest Africa – including Nigeria, and Namibia in Southern Africa.

He is also responsible for the correct operations of equipment for cargo operations, keeping updated all certificates and documentation according to the major survey societies and international marine regulations, and managing stock on board for spares, budgeting and critical spares.
